In this position I actively assisted managers in sourcing fabrics and meeting with vendors. I helped source fabrics according to price and aesthetic needs of the BCBGMAXAZRIA design team. I ensured strict vendor adherence to BCBG testing standards on all qualities. I ensure fabric development spec packages are production ready for hand off and passed according to corporate calendar deadlines. I also help to negotiate fabric prices, quicker lead times, and sample yardage minimums. We coordinate with cross functional teams as necessary- these teams include design, production, graphics, merchandising and A/P. I maintain daily communication with overseas vendor via email. I submit, track, and follow up on all PO’s in order to meet delivery deadlines and corporate calendar due dates. I manage all lab dips and dye house send outs. I also help to consistently maintain and update fabric delivery report for all the divisions I work on.

This position has helped me to grow and learn a lot about many aspects of the industry. In just 8 months I was promoted from associate to senior associate and my responsibilities grew tremendously. I now assist with HERVE LEGER, BCBGMAXAZRIA mainline (knits & hardwovens divison), Atelier, prints, and all corresponding trims.
